Oreoluwa Oluwafikemi Awe was a foundational member of ThempleChild Foundation and took a leading role in its child-, youth- and community-focused outreach from 2020 to 2023. A graduate of English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, her work was predominantly field-based, including school and community outreach, youth mentorship, family engagement, educational and welfare support, rights advocacy and health-awareness initiatives.

She participated in collaborative initiatives with healthcare, social-service and civil-society professionals, supporting children, young people and families facing barriers to healthcare, education, protection and other forms of support. Her work included engaging families and community partners, coordinating outreach activities, advocating around identified child and youth concerns, and helping connect individuals with appropriate resources and specialized support.

Alongside her field responsibilities, Oreoluwa contributed to volunteer coordination and administrative activities and periodically represented the Foundation in engagements with the affiliated Themple Group. Her work reflected a commitment to listening to children and communities, collaborative problem-solving, and understanding the wider circumstances affecting young people’s wellbeing, rights and opportunities.
