The immensely critical situation of the average Nigerian child keeps aggravating with each moment passing by; the child outcry is louder than imagined, the suffering is as glaring as the sunrise but unfortunately, their outcry and sufferings goes unnoticed by many well-meaning Nigerians, perhaps , because of the preoccupation with their already rigorous lifestyle and routine. The government is playing its quota in alleviating the situation but there is still much to do. We are belaboured by an intuitive and empathetic concern for these children. A corresponding responsibility to take initiative and practical action to alleviate these deprived and disadvantaged children is the primary motivation behind the idea of Themplechild foundation and we ultimately hope to see a better society where the rights and privileges of the average child can be protected and assured.
There are various child rights as stated in the child right act of the 1999 Nigerian constitution, but, Themple Child foundation majors in the following areas.

In keeping with these constitutional dictates Themple Child foundation is determined to protect the rights of the average Nigerian child who could not enjoy governmental and societal covering.
There are 4 basic strategies and action plan we intend to employ in our quest to achieve our above Themple child foundation vision.
- Public awareness and social campaigns
- Outreaches to less-privileged homes, primary and secondary schools
- Coalition with other civic organization like us and also governmental agencies.
- Provision of palliatives and material supports.
Public awareness and social campaigns
The purpose of this social campaign will be to get in contact with parents and children alike. Educating the parents on the rights of their children and the extent to which they can exercise their parental authorities and privileges. We will also educate the children on the scope of their rights and how they can live in the consciousness of those rights, as well as, how to pursue justice when anyone tries to violate their rights. We will also make ourselves accessible to them so that we can help if their rights are at the brink of violation. We intent to facilitate this campaign through Mass Medias such as television, radio, handbills and posters. We also plan to explore social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, twitter and many more to educate everyone on child right protection and also to engage others.
Outreach to less-privileged homes, primary and secondary schools
We intend to target social and educational settings where young individuals are more concentrated. We plan to go into the streets, schools, game centres, football pitches, recreational spots where we can have access to young minds to talk with them concerning their rights and privileges. With permission from the respective authorities in this settings, we plan to constantly reach out and support these children, especially those who have been abused sexually, physically or deprived of formal education.
Coalition with other civic organizations and also governmental agencies.
‘There is strength in numbers’. We believe that with the external support of likeminded governmental and non-governmental agencies we will be able to achieve more. Especially, if there is an intense judicial case with a child whose right and privileges have been wrongfully taking from him or her. This coalition will be a mutual tie, in which we can also support them in capacities peculiar to our strength.
Provision of palliatives and material supports.
We are aware that poverty and children hardship cannot be totally eliminated but we also understand that it can be palliated and alleviated through the materialistic support from those who have more. In line with this understanding, Themple Child foundation have in plan to constantly give out to the society and particularly disadvantaged children such things as food, toiletries, clothes, drugs and many more.
